UK plans to increase energy bills again in October

In August, analysts at Cornwall Insight predicted that the average UK energy bill could increase to £3,359 by October 1.
As energy use increases with colder conditions, a 70% rate hike could have serious implications.UK households will face sky-high prices due to a sharp rise in wholesale gas, consultancy Auxilione predicts.
Analysts also said Ofgem would increase more than £5,000 in the "first half" of next year.
By the end of the year, experts have warned that a "worst-case" energy shortage in Britain could require controlled blackouts.
