To avoid dangerous situations, there are two different solutions.<\/p>\n<p>One is to install an earth fault protection which called Type-B RCCB that can handle the special fault currents. However, this is a solution that is both expensive and requires a lot of space in the fuse box.<\/p>\n<p>The other way to go is to use so-called DC monitoring. Then there is a safety unit in the charging station that makes sure to switch off the charging if scary fault currents occur.
